The Open Class Week (Open Class Days) will be prolonged up to and including 24 April 2024.
Open class week | Music
The step to a higher education is big.
The step to a higher education in the arts may be even bigger!
To make your choice, it is important to know what studying a Music programme at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel (KCB) really is like.
For that, there is no better way than to attend a lesson
(or several lessons) together with current first-year students of KCB.
We warmly welcome you to the Open Class Week of
the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel,
from the 12th till the 16th of February 2024.
You will receive a legal certificate of absence if necessary.

Participating in the Open Class Week
"Can I just join every class/lesson?"
Yes definitely and gladly! You may join as many as you wish.
Register for the Open Class Week in three steps:
-
View the list of professors and choose which professor(s) you would like to attend an instrument lesson with.
-
Look at the curriculum table(s) of your area of interest and choose which group and/or theory lesson(s) you would like to attend. Please note, as a (who knows) future first-year KCB student, you choose lessons that are only in the curriculum table of Bachelor 1.
-
Send an e-mail with your desired instrument/group/theory lessons to secretariaat.kcb@ehb.be. They will e-mail you the specific dates and times when you can take the lessons of your choice on our campus.
Curriculum tables
The curriculum table(s) of your area(s) of interest

What if?
What if my professor of choice is not present during this open class week?
No problem, the professor will make an appointment with you at a later time. Each year, professors are looking for new students and will gladly make time to meet you.
May I also perform during an instrument lesson in this open class week?
You may if the professor in question agrees. Be sure to mention this in your request to the student administration that you would like to perform.
Am I obliged to take an instrument, theory and group lesson during this open week?
You are not obliged to do anything. It is entirely up to you which lessons you want to take.
What if I am on holiday and therefore cannot be present during this open class week?
Don't worry, in fact you can follow open classes until the 24th of April 2024. However, only upon request via the student administration (secretariaat.kcb@ehb.be).
