Heinz Holliger A living legend - who is he... ?

Presentation by Jan Michiels

Heinz Holliger is a unique musician who, in his long career since the middle of the last century, has shown a versatility that no one imitates him : as an oboist, conductor and composer, he has stepped onto all the major world stages at the very highest level. For my generation, he is a living legend, but for the younger generations, he is probably still an unknown figure. This lecture-recital aims to present him in all his facets in preparation for his arrival in February. Then he will undoubtedly push boundaries among all participating musicians. After all, his motto is : ‘My entire relationship with music is such that I always try to reach its limits.’

This lecture-recital is co-organised by our piano professor, Jan Michiels.
