KCB-Student Ekaterina Romanova selected for the Queen Elisabeth Competition

Our voice-student Ekaterina Romanova is selected for the first public round of the Queen Elisabeth Competition for voice. Of the 312 candidates that registered, only 64 where selected to compete in the first public round in Brussels.

Ekaterina Romanova is a Russian Contralto studying with our voice-professor Lena Lootens. Ekaterina started her piano studies at a young age and enrolled in the famed Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Moscow. There she studied theory, music history and theoretical & practical harmony. Together with these theoretical courses she started her Bachelor Voice, which she concluded there in 2015.

Her deep interest in Baroque-Music brought her to the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel in 2015, where she started her Master in Voice in the class of Lena Lootens in 2015. In 2017 she obtained here Master Degree with great distinction and in the same year she also became a laureate of the Horlait-Dapsens Foundation. This year Ekaterina is attending our Concertmusician programme at the KCB.
