Second International Chopin Competition on Period Instruments | Masterclass

A two-day public masterclasses with Edoardo Torbianelli, Wojciech Świtała and Piet Kuijken. The Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel invites students interested in historically informed piano playing to take part in this international event entirely dedicated to the music of Fryderyk Chopin, preparing for the Second International Chopin Competition on Period Instruments in Warsaw (5-15 October 2023). The accompanying teachers will work with the participants to perform Chopin's music on the fortepiano.

This masterclass is co-organised by teacher Piet Kuijken. In cooperation with the Fryderyk Chopin Institute in Warsaw, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (Poland) and the Polish Institute in Brussels.

The masterclass will be followed by a concert with Edoardo Torbianelli, Wojciech Switała, Piet Kuijken and two to three participating students.
