Introduction

This first concert is special in that it will take place in the presence of a life-size statue of Irma Sèthe, created by Belgian sculptor Paul Du Bois. This statue is on loan from the Royal Conservatories of Brussels and will remain at KBR while work is carried out on their buildings.

Alongside this statue will also be a presumed bust of Irma Sèthe attributed to Paul Du Bois and deposited at KBR by the King Baudouin Foundation.

The Music section will also feature two display cases containing documents linked to Irma, such as letters, scores and her little violin. These showcases will be on display at the concert on 18 October and in the days following the concert, on request via music@kbr.be
