PPS 2023 - Artistiek Onderzoeksfestival
Na vijf succesvolle edities gaat Polyphonic Performance Spaces, ons jaarlijkse festival voor artistiek onderzoek, haar zesde editie in. Dit jaar kiezen we voor een meer thematische aanpak en organiseren we de meeste activiteiten rond een centraal persoon: de gevierde Duitse componist Helmut Lachenmann (°1935). Deze vitale tachtiger, boegbeeld van de hedendaagse klassieke compositie, is onze speciale gast tijdens dit onderzoeksfestival, en hij en zijn muziek komen aan bod in tal van concerten, presentaties en workshops. De onderzoeksgroepen van het Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel hebben hun inspiratie gehaald bij Lachenmann, zijn muzikale, theoretische en filosofische werk, of, in bredere zin, uit hedendaagse compositie, en creëerden thematische dagen waarin ze laten zien hoe hun vakgebied of discipline in dialoog treedt met alles waar Lachenmann voor staat, zowel in onderzoek als in uitvoering.
