Stuart Patterson

Stuart Patterson, born in Perth, Scotland, is an opera singer who studied in Glasgow, Florence and Paris. He began his career at Teatro Verdi di Pisa, where he mainly sang works by Mozart, Monteverdi and Rossini. Since then, he has performed in more than 130 roles at renowned opera houses worldwide, including the Grand Théâtre de Genève, Opéra Comique de Paris, and Opéra de Lyon. He has also worked with conductors such as Iván Fischer and sung in productions by composers such as Wagner, Strauss, and Handel.

In addition to his performances, Patterson has engaged in directing projects and worked as a vocal professor at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève-Neuchâtel and as a teacher of English lyric diction at the Paris Conservatoire. In 2009, he founded the Festival Lyrique de Montperreux, where he was artistic director until 2020.
