Finalists Composition Contest- Andrée Arty

The “Fondation Andrée et Pierre Arty” consolidates and promotes the artistic work of Andrée Arty (collages, drawings, paintings and poems), as well as the collection of posters and photos by Pierre Arty.

Andrée Arty was not only a creative collagist, she was also a successful musician and studied at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. That is why the foundation will award a composition prize in coproduction with the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.

The students of the composition classes will use the collages of Andrée Arty as a source of inspiration to create a composition for a trio. The four best compositions will be performed on 8 December 2019 in the Concert Hall of the conservatoire, surrounded by a lecture and exhibition.
