Pareidolie | By Manuel Geerinck

Until 18 April 2024, within the exhibiton serie: ''het bestendigen van de vergankelijkheid'', organised by vzw Conservamus and Révelations, and with the installation by the artist Manuel Geerinck can be visited under the titel “Pareidolie”.

Creator of worlds, transformer of materials and surveyor of dreams, Manuel Geerinck offers us a rarely explored path. In his pictorial, sculptural and photographic work, the artist draws and constructs an imaginary, poetic and unrestrained world. A unverse of objects in motion, submerged, perforated, broken, swallowed, that we cannot imagine. We see them we touch them, but we cannot name them.

Welcome to his timeless world, far from “clichés”.

With “See you after the Break”, the ephemeral nature of the Conseervatoire buildings is brought into focus. But also how temporality and finitude can be interrupted by a break to arrive at a new dimension: the renovated and restored buildings of het Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. The exhibition ''het bestendigen van de vergankelijkheid'' is the visualisation of the musical set-up of the ''See you after the Break'' concert series. Images of  integrating and fascinating posts from the social media of the vzw Conservamus are part of this exhibition, as a signal of ephemerality and transcience of our modern digital culture. 

Until 18 April 2024, the exhibition featuring works by artist Manuel Geerinck will continue. The exhibition by artist Bao Vuong will start on 2 May 2024, with a preview on 1 may 2024 and vernissage on 2 May between 18:00 till 20:00.

See you after the Break is organised by vzw Conservamus in collaboration with het Koninklijk Conservatoirum Brussel, le Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles and Révélations.
