Boris Berman is a professor of international stature, a Grammy nominee, the writer of the book Notes from the Pianist’s Bench and – above all – an excellent pianist.
Boris Berman is regularly performing in more than fifty countries on six continents. His highly acclaimed performances have included appearances with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Gewandhaus Orchestra, The Philharmonia (London) and many more. Boris Berman heads the Piano Department of Yale School of Music and conducts master classes throughout the world. Furthermore, he is frequently invited to join juries of various international competitions.
In his first book, published by Yale University Press, he explores issues of piano technique and music interpretation. On the 24th, 25th and 26th Berman is taking the time to learn you and our students of the KCB more about this.
This Masterclass is co-organised by our professor piano, Jan Michiels.
Berman also plays a recital at the conservatoire on the 25th of October.
