Amy Lin | Masterclass Piano

Pianist Amy Lin was born in Taiwan and emigrated to the United States with her family as a child. At the age of five, she began her piano studies, dividing her time between two passions: music and mathematics. Thanks to a merit scholarship, she attended Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore to pursue a bachelor's degree in mathematics.

At the same time, she studied piano with Enrique Graf at the Peabody Institute. There she met the renowned pianist Leon Fleisher and attended his weekly master classes for three years. After getting her mathematics degree, she went to the Peabody Conservatoire where she studied intensively for ten years. She currently teaches at the Conservatoire of Strasbourg.
