Ruth Rondas
Ruth Rondas obtained a Licentiate in Pedagogical Sciences, option Educational Pedagogics and an aggregate at the University of Ghent. In 2012 Ruth obtained a PhD in Pedagogical Sciences, with as theme the one-on-one relation in Higher Instrument Education. The interest for instrument education grew because of her passion for everything that has to do with education in combination with playing music. Thus she played for five years in the Propere Fanfare van de Vieze Gasten, a social-artistic project in the heart of the Brugse Poort (Ghent).
Since 2014 Ruth has been working at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel where - in addition to her teaching assignment in the specific teacher training course - she conducted a two-year study on the use of Contemporary Music in Part-time Art Education (piano). In 2019-2020 she took up the challenge of becoming head of the Educational Training in the Arts, where she is shaping this training together with an enthusiastic team.

Maarten Vandenbemden
Born in a house full of guitars, Maarten Vandenbemden (1994) received his first guitar lessons from his father. Thirteen years later, his path led to Antigoni Goni's class at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel where he obtained "summa cum laude" the masters in guitar and music writing.
As a soloist and with several orchestras, he played at Bozar (Brussels) and the Royal Palace of Caserta, among others, and from Jordan to China.
From a special fondness for chamber music, he regularly plays with sopranos Noémie Schellens and Kelly Poukens, with cellist Ann Van Hecke and in the colourful line-up of two tenors and two guitars as "Los Reyes de la Baraja".
Since 2018, Maarten has been the fourth member of the Four Aces guitar quartet, with which he will record a second album entirely dedicated to Belgian music in 2022 after the earlier Tabula Rasa.
With pianist Saskia Van Herzeele, he forms duo Adentro, a 2018 Supernova finalist and winner of the Chamber Music Prize at the Twenthe Guitar Festival (NL). Their first CD "Once upon a time" was released by Etcetera in December and was voted one of the 10 favourite albums of the year by US Classical Guitar Magazine in 2019. Courtesy of Beeldenstorm vzw, their second album will be released in late 2021. "Paris. Les années folles" is entirely dedicated to the music of the earlier 1920s.
Maarten teaches Applied Harmony and Harmony & Analysis and is the Coordinator Music for the Educatieve Master in de Kunsten at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, and teaches classical guitar at the Conservatory of Ghent. Since 2016, Maarten has also been actively involved in the Volterra Project , an innovative summer guitar course, and in Music Projects for Brussels, an organisation that introduces Brussels children, patients and inmates to classical music.

Jan Vromman
Jan Vromman once hesitated between studying for a history degree and being a film director. In the meantime, it has mainly become the making of documentaries and not little concerns subjects that demand research, point of view, historical insight. Documentaries such as 'As long as there are shipbuilders singing' and 'The Art of Tree Cutting' or 'Le petit jeune homme de Binche' bear witness to this.
But the thinking remains multimedia and transversal. Curiosity also drove Jan Vromman to theatre, socio-artistic projects, installations and even fiction. Where audiovisual work often takes a character as a carrier for a film, he likes to opt for a social, broad fact. Involvement and emotion should not stand in the way of insight and analysis. The most recent documentary: 'The History of the Pig (in us)' is an illustration of this. Not a real journalistic work in the sense of biting into a topicality, but rather a meditation that situates the present in relation to the entire prehistory.
In addition, Jan Vromman is working on a research assignment in collaboration with the Brussels Art Platform & the VUB.
