John Ruocco leads KCB's big band concert! In the 1990s he taught saxophone and woodwind at our jazz department, but for the past two years he has been enjoying a well-deserved retirement. However, we can’t miss John so, as is our annual custom, he will come and spend a week preparing the KCB big band for this concert, which will take place at Jazz Station, a typical jazz club.
As a follow-up to the fantastic 2019 big band concert - led by John Clayton and playing a selection of the Clayton/Hamilton Jazz Orchestra's repertoire - we will now tackle the second part of the CHJO's acquired arrangements, supplemented by some classics from Oliver Nelson's repertoire.
