The theme of Heritage Day 2022 is right up our street: "education". This has been the main activity of the Brussels Conservatoire since 1832. We will introduce you to both the material educational heritage and the immaterial one. Over the centuries, many musicians and pedagogues have noted down how best to learn to play music. The library has a particularly rich and varied collection of these methods and shows the most fascinating pieces. But methods, fascinating as they are, cannot replace music education. The interaction between student and teacher is essential and that is why we also organise "masterclasses for amateurs", in which a teacher will bring the student to a higher level with the help of a historical music method.
Visual art is also present: painting students of the Academy of Fine Arts of Anderlecht present no less than 25 works. The exhibition will continue under the slogan "The School of Anderlecht", but you will see that the personal style of the students takes precedence over the term "school".
